Overcoming Creative Block

Creative blocks comes in many forms-some face writer’s block, others stuck in creative rut and so on. Being humans, we are prone to have our fair share of mental blocks. And this can be a serious challenge esp. for the artists and the innovators.

How to beat creative block?

To overcome the pull towards inaction owing to the unmotivated mental state, keep working, keep moving forward. When facing a creative block,

A writer should continue writing whatever comes to their mind, no matter how bad the writing is.

An artist should continue painting whatever catches their imagination, irrespective of how nonsensical the idea may be.

The idea behind this is to refrain self from giving in to a momentary weakness which can destroy habits built over years of practice. A creative block should not be an excuse to give up on one’s daily habits which are making his/her future one day at a time. Also, one can always go back to their work to improve/rework/discard whatever they created in these down times.

So keep pushing, keep moving forwarding, keep breaking barriers.

See you tomorrow !!!
